Outreach/Service:

We believe the Church exists to reach out into the world. We follow Jesus' example "even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve (Mt. 20:28a)."

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace (I Pet. 4:10)." Because we are all differently gifted, and because our community has varied needs, we offer a variety of different programs and events throughout the year that are service oriented. As people who are "compelled to service," it is our goal to meet the needs of our community to the best of our ability and to provide ways for others to serve using their abilities. Take a look below at some of the opportunities available here at the Seaman Church of Christ, and watch the upcoming events page for information about what's happening now!

Food Pantry:

The Seaman Church of Christ food pantry exists to provide basic supplies to those in our community in need. The food pantry can be open by contacting us at 937-386-7166 and we will be happy to help you. What we have to give we offer freely to any who comes; however, due to limited resources, we do ask that people assess their needs ahead of time, and that residents of other communities look for assistance closer to home first.

We also accept donations of food and paper products throughout the year to be distributed by the food pantry. If you have something you wish to donate, simply bring it to the church or contact us to arrange a time for it to be received.

Visits at Oakview:

Oakview Retirement Home is an assisted living facility located just outside of Seaman, OH off of Tri-County Road. On the third Sunday of each month we go to Oakview to visit with the residents and sing hymns with them. It is a blessing to both them and us to be able to enjoy one another's company and fellowship. We meet at Oakview at 5:30pm on the Sundays we are going for a vist, and usually stay until 6:15, giving us enough time to return to the church building for evening services. We also make occasional extra visits for special events, such as VBS at Oakview and Christmas carolling. Watch the upcoming events page for info about our next Oakview visit, or contact us if you would like to find out how you can become involved.

Ladies Aid:

The Ladies Aid is a service oriented group that gathers together each month for study, fellowship, and to work on service projects or meet needs in the community. The group is open to all women who wish to participate and meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30pm. Contact us for more information. Past projects have included:
